Itâs only October and we have so much for which to be grateful. I hesitated to theme this newsletter around gratitude, knowing that the holiday season, a season in which we celebrate giving thanks, is just around the corner; and weâll likely be saying âthank youâ again.
During her lifetime, Erinâs mom became a hair donor to Wigs for Kids, whose mission is Helping Children Look Themselves and Live Their Lives. After her momâs passing, Erin chose to carry on support of this worthy cause.
Goldie Floberg has been helping people with disabilities access the Special Olympics for 39 years. The physical, emotional, and developmental benefits of these experiences help to bring us closer to achieving our mission.

As a state, we have a lot of work to be done before our finances will be considered sound. Despite the negatives and controversy that surround this budget, and possible cuts from a federal level, this budget brings us bright skiesâoptimism and relief.

This past year, LEEP came up with some new ideas to keep up the community involvement even in the slow winter months with the addition of a couple new clubs.
A few months back when the Loves Park Lions Club invited us for lunch, a few of their own volunteers shared stories of how they welcomed one of our homes and the people we serve into their neighborhood.
