Why I like working at Goldie Floberg
As a five-year veteran of the Goldie Floberg I can honestly say that no two days are ever alike. My first impression of the organization was one of amazement during my training as a DSP. The training staff was so thorough that by the time I completed the training I felt I could handle any situation with confidence and/or with the knowledge that someone would be there to help if needed.
When you have the opportunity to learn about each client and their special personalities you can’t help but feel a tug at your heartstrings. Before you know it they melt your heart and you feel a very special bond with at least some of the clients. When you are witness to their great strides as they grow and mature you feel a great sense of pride in knowing that you were a part of their accomplishments and are so extremely happy for them. Their smiles can bring tears to your eyes.
Even if you don’t work with the clients directly, you will feel a sense of pride in being a part of this organization. The Center is growing in leaps and bounds in providing programs and opportunities for the clients to enrich their lives and become a real part of the community in which they live. The staff is a pretty tight knit group and really do work together as a team, regardless of the department.
And Goldie Floberg really does care about its employees too.
I’m glad I’m here!
– Judi, Administrative Assistant
This company works as a team…
“This company works as a team. When one goal is accomplished it is done not by one person, but by all of us. As a team we do a great job at acknowledging our staff who put their heart and soul into this job. It’s a comforting feeling to walk into any office, have it be the administrators, manager directors, behavioral specialists, case workers, supervisors, maintenance, and know all of them by name.
This company feels like a family. The root of our support goes directly to the clients. The rewarding part is to see the outcome of the people we serve reach their goals. There is no greater feeling than helping anyone reach that personal destination. That’s what reminds me, and I know it reminds my coworkers of why we do what we do every day.”
– Sierra, Assistant Home Manager

“I have been with the Goldie Floberg for 25 years. It has been an honor and a privilege to work with and care for the people we serve. They have enriched my life far more then I could possibly enrich theirs. After all these years I can honestly say that I love coming to work each day. I truly believe that the Goldie Floberg is an agency that outshines all others in its striving to provide quality services.
We are ever vigilant for improvements and always striving to better the lives of those we serve. There is an excitement in the air here because we are doing great things and know that we will only continue to do so in the future to ensure that the people we serve are the happiest and healthiest that they could possibly be.”
