You Can Help: Direct Service Provider (DSP) Living Wage Bills (SB 2952 & HB 5931) In Committees  – Witness Slips and Written Statements Needed by April 12

On Tuesday, April 12 at 3:00 PM, the Senate Human Services Committee will hear SB2952. On Wednesday, April 13 at 10:00 AM, the House Appropriations Human Services Committee will hear HB5931. These are bills aimed at providing a living wage for DSPs – the skilled and compassionate individuals caring for the people we love.

How You Can Help

Please fill out witness slips in support of SB2952 and HB5931 and share your own personal story of why this matters to you, your family, your friends, or your coworkers. Your stories help legislators connect their work on these bills to the people they serve.

To complete the form:

  • Fill out all fields in the witness slips (fax is optional)
  • Under II. Representation – state who you are representing:
    • Provider agency;
    • Direct support professional;
    • Individual receiving services;
    • Family of individual receiving services;
    • Someone who cares!
  • Under III. Position – check “Proponent”
  • Under IV. Testimony – check “Record of Appearance Only”
  • Put in the correct “captcha”
  • Check that you “Agree to ILGA Terms of Services”
  • Click on the “Create Slip” button – you should be done and you’ve made your voice heard!
