Hello! My name is Preston Brown. I am originally from Sault Ste Marie, Michigan and have recently moved to Rockford, Illinois to pursue a career at Goldie Floberg as an Adult Learning Faculty in the LEEP (Learning, Enrichment and Empowerment Program). Prior to working at Goldie B Floberg, I interned at BraveHearts Therapeutic Riding and Educational Center and The Detroit Medical Center for 15 weeks each.
I also attended Central Michigan University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Arts, majoring in Therapeutic Recreation and minoring in Psychology. In addition, on October 17th I took the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification Exam to become a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS). Although I am not a CTRS until I receive my certification in the mail I did PASS the exam! So now, I am just waiting on the paperwork.
