Program Description & Services

             The Children’s Program is licensed to provide services to young people aged one year through twenty-one years who may be ambulatory or non ambulatory.  This Program focuses upon children and adolescents who have a primary diagnosis of moderate, severe or profound intellectual functioning.  A secondary diagnosis involving emotional or behavioral issues including aggression, self-abuse, anti-social and other behaviors.

             The Adult Program is licensed from eighteen years of age without an upper limit.  This Program focuses upon adults with a primary diagnosis of mild, moderate or severe intellectual functioning.  A secondary diagnosis involving emotional or behavioral issues, as in the Children’s Program, is also acceptable.  The Center provides the following services:

Case Management, through Qualified Mental Retardation Professionals

Coordination of Educational services while attending community schools

Individual & group counseling

Psychological services

Psychiatric services

Medical service planning, coordination and supervision

24-hour nursing services

Adaptive equipment evaluation, acquisition, training, and maintenance

Physical therapy

Therapeutic horseback riding

Recreational programs through on-grounds and community services

Community living skill training—directed toward achieving the least restrictive setting

Behavior intervention

Transportation to enhance community participation

Dietary management

Supported Employment Program

Coordination of Day Program Services At Home Care
