John Pingo

           John began his career at the Center in 1995 as a Direct Support Professional in the CILA program.  After graduating from Beloit College in 1997, John served as the Center’s Director of Human Resources until 1999.  In January 1999, John became the Center’s Children’s Services Administrator and currently supervises a team consisting of QMRPs, a Clothing Coordinator, housekeeping services, laundry services, kitchen services, transit staff, the Center’s Quality Assurance Monitor, and Child Care Institution (CCI) Supervisory staff.  John earned a Masters of Science in Rehabilitation Administration and Services from SIU Carbondale in August of 2004. John was awarded the Illinois Association of Rehabilitation Facilities "On the Right Path Award" for most enthusiastic employee in 2002.  John is the chair of the Center's Staff Development Committee, co-chair of the Center's Behavior Intervention Committee, a member of the Personnel Committee, a member of the ARC of Illinois, a CARF Surveyor and has taught an undergraduate college course on disability issues at Rock Valley Community College.
